Last weekend I tried something different, backcountry camping via water taxi on Lake Opeongo in Algonquin Park. My friends Maryann and Randy have done this a few times and led the way and also gave some of their neat camping tips during the weekend. Hope you enjoy part 1 of 2 of this adventure! Cheers!

I’m at the age where glamping is the only way I can camp and walk the next morning. What a fun time you all had. Thanks for sharing.

Awesome video Christina. Beautiful lake, good grub, Sure would've loved to have been there. With my old 12 string, sitting around the campfire at night. Great time for sure. Take care.

Hello Christina - re-watching some of these from a few years back I just wanted to say you video style has changed and I'm hesitant so to say for the better cause I enjoy them all !!! but I do like your commentary and 'thinking out loud' thought process you share with us in the current style (2020) better than the screen text - of course you are far more adventurous with some of your trips too now. Still watching!!.. :)

Love your videos. Have you ever camped around tobermory. Canada looks so awesome through the lens of people like you. It really is awesome what are doing.I think I may start to plan some of this solo stuff outdoors. I just have to do it. Probably next spring I guess.
Algonquin is really to far for me, that's why I asked about tobermory. I'm north of Detroit about an hour, in Michigan.
Thanks and keep on keeping on. Great job.

I must admit, I have a little crush on you. I live in a BIG City, and Sadly there isn't many Women who love Nature like Myself...but then I found your page. I really enjoy your adventures, keep them coming.
BTW, I Love your Smile.

So the water taxi took you to a specific site? You can request that? I always assumed it was just to the portage it went.

I like the idea of the water taxi but just just there would show a little respect the those of us who actually paddle the whole length of the lake. It a heck of a bow wave that they produce and can be off putting to casual paddlers

What is your Kayak? How would it be as far as stability and load for trips. I am a big man 6' 4' 280.

Next time go camping with a fishing buddy! You seem eager to catch one.
