I love it when someone uses his brain, comes up with stuff like this and shares it! Thanks! Hoping to get my SB9 soon....

Just got a 9A a little while ago, learned a lot watching your video's. One thing that would be very helpful would be if you would state what spindle and feed rates you are using for the various operations.

Nice project. Don't know when I will get to this one. Still need to do the S-4382 T-Slotted Cross Slide.

Halligan, out of curiosity, what town or region are you in? I’m in Weymouth.

Just spent the day scraping old shitty paint off of my 1942 Heavy 10. Repowered it last week with a 1.5 hp 3ph motor from the massive old 3/4 hp 3ph motor I got it with and can’t wait to see how much better it handles heavier cuts

Lots of work for an extra inch of hole depth. I have a wood lathe I designed and built in highschool that has the same drilling depth challenge. No easy fix for that one though. It has served me well enough, but need to be a total do over. 18 year old me didn't know much about mechanical design or materials. Turns out 1018 cold rolled doesn't make for a very durable spindle..

I couldn't help but notice your boring bar was moving rather a lot, almost like your qc tool post wasn't tightened, or the tool holder doesn't fit the dovetail properly.

I would like to see a pic of the finished product first, then the steeps to get there.
