Love your videos. ❤ Just some quick facts for educational purposes - koalas are classified as endangered across majority of eastern Australia.

Additionally, all of the koala populations in Aus, bar Kangaroo Island are not disease free which (along with clearing of their natural habitat) continues to push this beautiful species towards extinction.

Before European settlement there were likely more than 10 million koalas (this figure is based on the 8 million koala pelts legally sold between ~1890 to 1930).

There is likely less than 40, 000 koalas in the wild remaining - most of which are threatened by multiple known and continuing factors within Australia. The only one that needs to apologise to the koalas is the Australian Government.

Unfortunately not long after the 2020 bushfires, wildlife experts declared that koalas are in deed much closer to endangered status than previously thought. Analytics have recently suggested that if something isn't done soon to preserve the species, they may be extinct by the year 2050.
