Vertica Provides Real-Time In-Database Analytics

While much of the current excitement around database products is focused on NoSQL solutions, Vertica's relational database product offers a solution to a number of real-time analytic problems for some of the biggest names in technology. Zynga, best known for games like Farmville, isn't a company that you'd usually think of as needing to solve challenging data problems, but providing game interactions to users and luring in their friends is a uniquely challenging problem that requires real-time analytics currently best solved by Vertica. Here LockerGnome's Jake Ludington talks to Mingsheng Hong from Vertica about how their relational database product provides a competitive solution to Hadoop and other big data NoSQL solutions.

@delonholmes92 this video isn't about WebOS, it's about Vertica, which is the database solution used by Zynga and a number of other large companies. It's an alternative to using MongoDB, Hadoop, CouchDB or other "big data" solutions.
