I have been puzzled about the company 4Patriots for a while and I finally decided to make a video for your consideration.

If you're thinking about buying a 4patriots power station consider these or something else. They are in order of most fav to least fav. Mainly because Ecoflow does not have Lifepo4 in these devices.

Their new 2000X solar generator, which happens to better than their previous junk 1800, is made by a company called Lion Energy, and Lion Energy sells the SAME products (different packaging) for way less. For example, 4 Patriots sell their 12V 100W solar panels for $500 a panel while Lion Energy sells THE EXACT SAME PANEL (MAKE, MODEL AND SERIAL (SKU) NUMBER) for $150 to $200 FOR LITERALLY THE EXACT SAME THING. I have a 2000X but bought all the products afterward when I found out Lion Energy makes ALL of 4 Patriots NEW line of solar products.

I learned what kind of company they were when we ordered their food and after payment a notice popped up saying some food equivalent may be changed in my order. I recieved far too much food made with rice. Guess it was very profitable for them not to have to dehydrate it. If I wanted to purchase rice I could have bought it at a grocery store for far less than what they charged me. I fired off a email to them about how displeased I was to have been scammed and no response. The only one who got a great deal was them. Never again will I ever purchase any of their products.

watching a 4patriots website is like sitting through a time-share meeting. You get a lot of repeated info but they always seem to avoid giving you the bottom-line cost.

I was going to order the generator and I am very glad that I searched for a video like this. Thank you for putting this information out there. Here is what I ran into: I ordered a 3 month supply of food and when it arrived, I noticed that I was missing the cocoa, coffee, and two 72-hour bags of food. When I called they said it was on back order and that it would be sent out soon and that they would include an extra 72-hour food supply in it. It finally arrived but without the extra 72-hour package. I ordered another one and the same thing happened plus I didn't receive the sun kettle. I decided to compare both orders and both orders contained a lot of banana chips, powdered milk, creamy rice vegetable, white rice, and Spanish rice. I received very little of the more "gourmet" food packets such as the stroganoff, lasagna, etc... Also, the second order didn't contain the same amount of packets (it had fewer). Both orders didn't contain a "potatoes O'Brien" packet. Their commercials are deceiving because it makes you think that you will receive a few packets each of everything that they make, but you don't. For example, 1 order had vanilla pudding and the other had chocolate yet the commercial makes you think that you will receive both flavors. I emailed them a letter about the second-order and never received an answer. I tried a few of the meals and found the mac 'n cheese to be OK but the pasta size is smaller than what they show in their commercials. The banana chips are overly sugared, the creamy rice and vegetable didn't have any vegetables in them and was a mass of white gooey stuff, and the Spanish rice had a strong artificial after taste to it. All of them were extremely high in sodium and the ingredient list isn't the healthiest. I'm now looking for a healthier brand and if anyone knows of a better brand, please let me know. Thank you.

I just watched the infomercial on this 4patriots generator. I went online to see what they actually give for the money and the site does not even come out. Then I googled and what was there was NOT what was advertised on the Youtube infomercial. I came here to Youtube to see what was there on the product and came across your video. Thank you for your honesty and letter folks know to do research and understand how this price is ridiculous.

I bought 100 watt panels(4) from Harbor freight, with controller, a 3500 watt inverter, 2 deep cell marine batteries for under $700 and it works great for my large(40' ft.) Trailer

I love the fact that you research products. The first time I financed the car I researched it for 6 months before jumping.

that practice led me to also mix and match products. For instance my power bank is the Bluetti eb3a. But I got the 200 watt solar panels from allpowers.
Both refurbs with a total cost of roughly $300

4PATRIOT did one of best con jobs in marketing the 1800. Those, including me, who didn’t research got ripped off. I couldn’t even return it and get my money back because I connected too many volts for solar charging. Damn scam job.

You can get a 100Ah (1200 WH capacity) deep cycle battery like for a trolling motor for $150 USD. You can get a 1800 inverter for $120 USD. You can get a 100 watt solar panel for $120 USD. Wire these up and you are over $2000 USD ahead with 15 times more capacity and faster charge capability than the crap they are pushing. Great video. Even the name is misleading. Its is not a generator. It is a rechargeable battery pack.

I simply tell people, when giving advice about products, "What I would personally do if it were me buying it". I don't bash the product either, but if someone asks me why I would or wouldn't buy something, I tell them factually, about the pro's or con's as I see them. You did exactly the same. I like your style and what you said, and how you handled it.

In general I avoid anything overly promoted with the word patriot, unless it's on old TB12 jersey.

If you dont understand the technical side of these types of things, its easy to get taken advantage of. I was on the way to purchasing this product until I saw the price and realize there were similar (if not better) items on the market for $200/$300 dollars less with a pair of modest solar panels on the side.

How did I ever miss this video! I am so glad you made this and agree with you 100% Easily the worst, almost unbelievably bad specs for the money. Just like you said, it's off the charts what a bad value this is. Great message here, I hope it helps some people think twice before falling for the ads.

I have honestly never heard of this generator before! I've heard of their terrible food, but I didn't know they made generators as well. I'm so glad I went with the EcoFlow models. Those generators are beasts!
