FILM DESCRIPTION:
When former U.N. investigator Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) and his family get stuck in urban gridlock, he senses that it's no ordinary traffic jam. His suspicions are confirmed when, suddenly, the city erupts into chaos. A lethal virus, spread through a single bite, is turning healthy people into something vicious, unthinking and feral. As the pandemic threatens to consume humanity, Gerry leads a worldwide search to find the source of the infection and, with luck, a way to halt its spread.

I still wish they had made a World War Z 2 where we could have seen Brad Pitt fighting an army of Zombies storming downtown Moscow. That said, it isn't a perfect adaptation from the book, but it is still a decent stand alone zombie movie. Also, as a huge 12th Doctor fan, I still find it funny that Peter Capaldi portrayed 1 of the W.H.O. Doctors then later became the next Doctor Who.

if you noticed about the fall of jerusalem scene of the movie, gerry lane saw a kid with cancer-like symptoms or similar (notably the bald head and skinny physique features of the kid which gives it away), the kid was completely ignored by the horde of zombies and was not devoured, this birthed the idea of gerry's lane search for a pathogenic camouflage, hence he travelled to a WHO Research facility, and injected himself with a mysterious virus. most likely smallpox or similar.

it is actually factually proven that zombies ignore or avoid humans who have been strickened with very severe illnesses, and prefer to pursue targets who are still at healthy condition. this somewhat highlights some sort of intelligence in the zombies.

0:12 to 0:27 These Zombies are perhaps the most interesting type of zombie I have ever seen. They’re smarter, stronger and faster than most others.

However I wonder: If “you cannot make a dead person sick, ” then why do the Zombies avoid people that they can sense are terminally ill? Do the other diseases cancel out the Zombie virus? Do the Zombies feel empathy?
