People are missing the point of Hope. Lucifer can answer, but Lucifer’s own hope is one day to return to Heaven, so countering hope in the game is personal to them and thus it’s worth losing the game.

Literally fighting each other with metaphors which they in turn create in their own pocket dimension. The fact that Dream casually conjured a universe this way is just power flexing.

Some people aren't getting that this is them literally manifesting all these things as attacks. It's not just a word game for them. It's them hitting each other with the cosmic force of "hunter", "nova", "hope", "anti-life", etc. like they're nothing but toy pieces to be used on a whim.
