One question: would you know if when it has the RCA outputs being used (with external powered speakers for example) and I plug a headphone into the front output, it gives priority to that output and cuts the sound from the outputs? of RCA? And vice versa?

I had the DX1 for a month now, drives my dt 700 pro perfectly. Much lesser noise compared to direct connection to my macbook air.

I’d definitely pick the Topping as I really like how effortless my G5 sounds and based on how you describe the DX1’s sound signature, I’d say this is exactly how the G5 sounds too.

could this be powered by a mobile phone, the phone would be intermittently charged on qi charger stand. or does anybody know if there would be any issues with that kind of set up. (sorry for sending an old video notification)

Excellent review. After a lot of watching videos and reading, to have a good reference in my home studio, I'm finally between this DX1 and the Apogee Groove. Obviously they have different form factors and prices, but I don't know which one will have better soundstage and power to drive my current Beyer DT880 Pro, or the Senns 800s I plan to own someday ... Which one would you choose?

Do you know if I'm able to use this for the ps5 without a converter? From the research I've done, the PS5 only supports UAC1 not UAC2. I dont know enough about this stuff to know which the topping dx1 is but maybe you do?
