Welcome to my channel and today’s video is about Underground mining equipment and their operations. These amazing machines are help mine worker for doing their task easily and making the place safer for them.
Mining has changed a lot from the images we have of the 19th century when men with shovels toted canaries to make sure the air underground was not toxic. Modern mines feature extensive ventilation and water drainage systems, high tech communication networks and increasingly computerized machines that reduce the number of humans required underground.
Underground mines are the alternative to surface mines. Surface mines excavate from the top down, a method that can become inefficient at depths greater than about 200 feet. Undergrounds coal mines can drive 2,500 feet into the Earth and other types even deeper uranium mines can reach 6,500 feet, or 2 kilometers. But those depths are extreme; most top or bottom out at about 1,000 feet.
Working in the mining industry can be a dangerous place if you don’t know what you’re doing. Regular training is essential and understanding the machines you’re working near or operating plays an important role in all aspects of the industry.
Each type of mining equipment comes with its own set of mining activities. The most common types of mining equipment vary depending whether the work is being carried out above or below ground or mining for gold, metals, coal or crude oil. From drilling machines to excavators, crushing and grinding equipment.
Underground specialized mining equipment such as trucks, loaders, diggers etc. are used to excavate the material and are normally hauled to the surface with skips or lifts for further processing. Enjoy watching the most satisfying video of underground equipment working in the mine.
