I Finally Got Covid | Omicron Day to Day Experience

Well after almost 2 and half years, I finally caught COVID. Travelling and catching this virus can be frustrating, difficult and costly. Kicking off the summer of 2022 in a hotel room was less than ideal but what was also frustrating was precious losing time with family/friends not being able to do work and create videos. I am finally back in Toronto after almost 2 weeks in hotel isolation in British Columbia. No medical science here, but ideas on remedies on how I got through Omicron. Join me as I struggle along on the road to recovery- Take your vitamins and wear a mask!

Literally got it for the first time in three years (thought I was invincible) last week. The fever by day 2 or 3 is BRUTAL. Seriously don’t get how some people say symptoms are pretty “mild” I’m literally living through the worst chills and sore throat right now 🤒

Very well done!! I too just got Covid after avoiding it for almost 3 years!! On my 8th day. Started Paxlovid on the 4th day of symptoms, along with a ton of natural supplements!! Tested negative on the 5th day.
I had slacked up on taking my natural supplements and stopped wearing my mask!! Peace, love, and success to you, yours, and all others that commented!! ❤️

I glad I'm not the only one who thought he was invincible hahaha, it caught up with me pretty badly this week.
First 4 days were hell, today's day 5 and things are getting a little better. The worst part by far was the throbbing, debilitating headache the first two days, the swallowed razor blades dipped in lemon juice throat pain is a close contender.

Friend's doctor prescribed a few Tylenol with codeine. Stopped his cough and made the muscle & joint pain tolerable. Wonder why more doctor don't do this?

The experience of having Covid can vary dramatically between person to person. I had it last week for 4 days. It was 4 days of non-stop coughing for both my wife and myself. She got some sinus headaches, I had a mild fever in the evening for 2 of the days. And then in the evening of the 4th day it just STOPPED abruptly, and we had no symptoms after that. It's day 8 for me and I still test positive, but that doesn't mean that the virus is viable. I feel good, no sign of Covid after the 4th day. And we were concerned because we are in our mid-60s, which can give a much worse experience. I'm actually thankful to have had it because now I know for sure that my body can handle it. It's can also be much worse for unvaccinated people.

I had to get some help because I’m in my 40’s with pre existing conditions, so I got Paxlovid and it’s been a wild ordeal. My husband is back to the urgent care tonight because he’s got it. So it’s been pretty rough for us. I would hate to be traveling with it. That would have to be such a pain. Glad you’re recovered.

On Day 7 here. My work is saying I can come back even if I'm testing positive because apparently I'm not contagious! I'm not going back yet, I'm still so fatigued and head fogged.

I also finally caught the covid after visiting family, tested positive on July 4th. I can agree day 2 was bad. I felt like I was getting better day 3 and then day 4 it was like it hit me all over again. I feel better now but it’s lingering and still testing positive. Lost taste and smell but eating some spicy foods has been helping. Hopefully will test negative soon

I dodged covid up until Tuesday of this week. The fatigue, fever and brain fog have gone now (writing this on Saturday afternoon) but the THROAT pain is ridiculous! Feels like my trachea is covered in burns. Swallowing is excruciating, so I can barely sleep. If it weren't for the throat, I'd feel fine now, more or less. Can't wait for this shit to end now!

So sorry to hear you got this ... and probably missed your family visit. Thank you for this video; it's a good reminder to everyone why you don't want to get this! Be well!

Finally caught it a couple of days ago. Started by waking up with conjunctivitis, a lesser known covid symptom. Then the headache, fever, chills, ache. Streaming nose. Then 3 days in I've now got a tickly/chesty cough with mucus but headache, chills and fever have gone and I actually feel great. Test still came up within 20 seconds though. Your video relaxed a lot of worries I had.

I tested positive for the first time 8/14/22 as well. The body aches, headache and fatigue lasted that day and half of the next. Some minor chills too, fever got up to 101 for like 30 min but Tylenol Severe Cold and Flu helped with that. Day 2 and on symptoms started to ease off. Only a slight cough and that sore throat was pretty annoying. Day 4 nasal congestion started in. Tested negative for the first time this morning day 11. I was hoping to keep the streak alive of not catching it. Bummer
