Águila Calzada Mallorca - Booted Eagle

Hace unas semanas, junto al equipo del PROYECTO PENNATUS, Agentes Medioambientales y GOB, anillamos y marcamos con GPS/GSM a dos pollos de águila calzada 🦅. Desde Mallorca Preservation, estamos orgullosos de apoyar este proyecto para seguir los movimientos y comportamiento de estos ejemplares hasta su primera reproducción 🌍.

El águila calzada (Hieraaetus pennatus) es una especie protegida que enfrenta serias amenazas: alta mortalidad juvenil ⚠️, electrocución ⚡ y pérdida de hábitat 🏞️. Un censo reciente en Mallorca identificó 190 territorios con la especie, subrayando la necesidad de una gestión adecuada. Nuestros objetivos incluyen evaluar la salud y biometría de los pollos, analizar su comportamiento y uso del territorio, y caracterizar sus rutas migratorias y causas de mortalidad 🛤️.

A few weeks ago, alongside the PENNATUS PROJECT team, Environmental Agents, and GOB, we ringed and marked two booted eagle with GPS/GSM trackers 🦅. At Mallorca Preservation, we are proud to support this project, which aims to monitor the movements and behaviors of these young eagles until their first reproduction 🌍.
