I cant believe how much that drill struggles pushing the spade bit thru. Is it new? Is it sharp?
Don’t let the stuff you haven’t done before intimidate you. Almost everything we have done with the house build is something I haven’t done before. There have been a lot of days where I stop working to figure out what my next move is.
Every time you do one of these things you learn something. And it is another skill in your tool bag. As you build these skills, you will find they help you figure out the other problems that come.
Your son will always remember helping you wire the cabin.

In the last 40 years I’ve owned 3 homes and remodeled 2 of them myself, the last one with help from my wife. No prior experience in building. I’d ask several people I knew and get an overall idea. The most common advice I received was “take days off and do something to get your mind away from your project.” It helps. You’re doing a great job! You WILL complete the job!

When I get half way thru a project and just wanna "throw in the towel, " I always hear Uncle Floyd in my head saying, "Lee, if you don't quit, you will finish!" And that's usually enough to keep me going another hour or so, and in that period I usually either finish the task, or get a new (more positive) mindset that serves me well. Always remember that and you'll accomplish much more than you ever expected! You're really gonna LOVE this office! Great video!

Love watching you work on the cabin, and as they say the quickest point between two places is a straight line. But you did a mighty job.🌺

You're doing great just take your time and figure things out. It's hard to something's done because of the weather. Take care and have a blessed weekend.

Hay Suz. Just spent the week at my nephews gutting and updating a bathroom. 10 trips to the big boxes in 3 different cities for materials. When we got burned out, we stopped, ate, had a few coffees and brainstormed on the next steps. Took a day off to plow snow and watch how to videos. You're not in a time crunch, so know when to say when. Gonna be a cool cabin even if you don't have a milling machine or welder in there;-]
