It's kinda annoying how many people got stabbed by a lightsaber and survived. It feels like lightsabers wounds aren't critical at all. So does Disney want to tell us that a powerful Jedi Master like Qui Gon is a weak joke and died of one of lightsaber wound. So amateurs like Reva and Sabine are unvulnerable. Especially Reva who survived this twice. It doesn't make sense.

The reason Quigon didn’t survive is because his vector, Liam Neeson, was too expensive to bring back in later installments. He also died for the same reasons that everyone had to die at the end of Rogue One.

That would have been a fatal blow. If it didn't damage directly the organs, the sheer amount of energy and heat to the organs would do the deed, considering the time the lightsaber was in her body.

Not only does she get stabbed, its not exactly in and out, shin moves her blade up, quite frankly this should have been sabines end.

Last time I check the saber can melt space metal which means the heat from the saber is unimagienably high. Sabine belly should have blown.
