I got this as a birthday gift 4 weeks ago. Took it to Florida on vacation. This gimbal is crazy. It spins and turns sideways at will. I missed content because I had to reset it, or at times, attempt to reset it. This is in Native camera, I didn’t try it in the app. The reason it was bought for me was so I didn’t have to use the app. It can’t be returned because it’s past the 30 day window. $150 sitting in a drawer!

great video. A few quick questions on this new Pro version specifically if you don't mind!

1) Can I use the focus wheel of the Insta 360 Pro in the Black Magic camera app/or the native iPhone camera app? Or will the focus wheel only work with the Insta 360 app?
2) Are the video resolution recording modes of 4k60fps for timelapses, timeshifts and dolly zoom only possible with the Insta 360 app? Or would these higher video resolution modes work with the native iPhone/Black Magic camera app?
3) If you had an iPhone 15 pro max, and had to choose between the Hohem iSteady v3 vs this Insta360 flow pro, which would you choose? The iSteady v3 has a unique remote and more tilt degrees, but seems like its video resolution modes max out at 4k30 for timelapse and max slow motion seems much less than the insta360 pro. The Insta 360 pro has dockkit integration, but lesser tilt degrees (not sure exactly how much tilt vs 30 degrees both ways for the iSteady v3)
4) Have you heard anything about Insta 360 flow being able to use the Apple Watch as a way to remotely monitor and record the Insta360 flow pro gimbal with dockkit integration? If thats possible that would equalize out the difference with the iSteady v3 which has a built in remote.

Yes the Flow Pro still has a limited tilt axis range. But that's not a problem. Hold it out sideways and then when you raise and lower it, the movement is accommodated by the rotate axis instead. No problem.

Sorry...as much as I luv my Insta360 X3, just as the Flow was a huge "fail", so is the Flow PRO. All of the problems that existed with the original model appear to be here with the PRO...ESPECIALLY the lack of compatibility with other apps, as well as the lack of Android compatibility. People who refused to buy the original model because of its numerous flaws are even less likely to purchase the PRO model. What is it going to take for Insta360 to recognize the fact that Android has in excess of a 70% market share, compared to iOS's much lower 28.5% market share. The number of Android phones in use is close to 3x the number of iPhones (these figures are based on the latest published statistics). Until Insta360 adds Android compatibility to their gimbals, and fixes at least a majority of the other problems, they are 'blocking' themselves from a LOT of sales.

How is the footage quality for Android as it wont allow to use the native app.
I have a s23 ultra and tried with DjJ Se gimbal but it was worse. I am checking this insta 360 flow pro now

Hello Otto, in regard to lagging of video while tracking, do you think that the sportmode solves this lagging? Thank you for your excellent reviews.

Btw, don’t let some ignorant viewers piss you off about bouncing in video. It is always there, but minimal, one can not expect a tripod performance while running full speed/hard walking with a gimbal. Even the class leading pana gh7, with all its stabi layers has a hard time matching a good gimbal. And it comes at a price of +/- 1900 euro, body only. So, ….😀👍, Frans

Otto, I'm a Newb to the the MagSafe feature, having just ordered a iPhone 13 mini. I see that Insta360 has a magnetic phone mount offered on their site ($9.99 + $18 shipping!), but not available on Amazon, or elsewhere for less. Does it matter for MagSafe adapters if the 3rd party ones that say they are compatible withthid model are used? How about MagSafe phone cases? Thanks for a great review!
