Yep, I buy Old Navy or thrift for grandkids. I tried the Gap on sale because I thought better quality and then could be passed to next boy. They may be sturdier, but stains are stains! I have gotten great quality at garage sales, too.( Particularly baby clothes) Shoes I spend money on for fit if need be. I want their feet to be comfortable and shoes to fit correctly. Crocks are great for summer though!

Goodwill in our neighborhood had tons of lightly used kids clothes. Also ask your parents, friends, & siblings! I wore so many of my cousins clothes that my kids will also wear that my mom saved!

We’ve always thrifted for our kids, my daughter loves it! It’s harder for my boys because boy things are in rough shape most of the time, but it’s great!

I only did expensive clothes for holidays Christmas. and Easter but I still had a dollar amount. But other clothes were from Walmart

Paid $25 for a basic pair of swim trunks from Target for my 3 year old. Target is NOT cheap, and Old Navy isn't much better. I lucked up and found a clean kids only thrift store in an affluent part of town. Last trip I got 8 kids outfits for under $90. Thrifting is the way to go (for adults too) if you can find the time. American's toss perfectly good clothing everyday. Wear a shirt once and donate it, it makes my head spin!

To the people who wonder why millennials are having kids so late... A great reason is because they get free hand-me-downs from relatives, haha 😆! I had the 6th and I'm about to have the 9th grandkid for my parents so basically, my attic is like a kid's thrift shop. I even had someone at my job and a non relative gift me baby clothes. This is one of the last things on earth I spend money on. How's my kids age that might change, but regardless I still think this is one of those things you can get for free from others quite easily.
