AX8: A few of my stage presets.

Sharing is caring. AX8 owners, when next you see me on stage with James Reyne - an Australian legend of stage and record/CD - these are the presets I'll be running, or slightly tweaked versions thereof. Download them and make them your own.

about a year ago I asked you about Axe FX vs Real Amps for gigging.. and you said (paraphrased) there was no going back to real amps for you.. It's really hard to argue with the convenience and tones that you get all in one Axe FX package.. especially with the Atomics for your stage sound.. thanks Burgs for your channel.. always a pleasure on our end.

Brett, I owned an Albert Lee and downloaded your preset with much anticipation. I felt I wasn't getting what I wanted out of my AX8 and hoped this would get me closer. As it turns out, my AL was stolen the day after I loaded the patch and I never got to hear them paired. I was forced to go to my backup guitar for my next gig and really did not know how anything was going to sound, so I decided to try your preset (untested). I plugged in, sound checked and really liked the variety of tones I was getting. A few tweaks here and there and this now my main live patch. Thank you for helping me move on from the AL and discover new tones and new joy. CHEERS!

That ax8 has found itself a home up here in qld with me still have those presets you made on it sounds great had it since just before the covid hit us have gigged it its fantastic was inspired to go digital by you and josh when i saw you guys at eaton hill hotel (when rose tatto missed the plane)with james and i saw only a bass amp onstage and the sound was so good so i went looking for one eventually and come across this beauty so was ment to be keep up the videos mate always interesting and great playing cheers mate!

I have that same Ibanez Talman that you have. I bought it new in 1996. It's still the most comfortable guitar I own. I also love my AX8. Nice tone as expected!

Awesome!!! One thing I love about the AX8 is I can plug in an expression pedal that just does +-15dB of volume, post everything. Extremely helpful for live playing.

Hi Brett, Thanks for this video. I play in an Aussie Crawl and Dragon tribute in Qld (April Sons of Beaches) and after hearing your sounds with James at The Shed on the sunny coast it convinced me it was time to go to an AxeFx II and it’s possibly the best move I’ve made.

Hi Brett, I have that exact same Ibanez Talman that I have had since 1996. I have eight electric guitars and three acoustics but this is the one guitar I wouldn't ever let go. It sits at arm distance from my bed at all times and it has an old friend feel to it (It felt like that day one). When I use it live I have to use a boost or eq directly behind it. It would be nice to here you share how you use it.
