Typhoon Sepat (Nika) was a large Category 4 typhoon that wreaked havoc in Mindanao in October 2024. It caused about $916 million of damages and killed 9 people. It rapidly intensified before landfall and as it moved in-land, rain and winds were damaging most of southern Philippines.
