The Asus ROG Delta S Animate Gaming Headset is a really interesting and on paper quite an impressive gaming headset. Now the biggest feature I'm sure you're here for is the AniMe Matrix display with 245 mini-LEDs but considering you can't even see it when you have them on is it really something you need? It's kind of like buying a car, it's important it looks nice but you don't really think about the outside when you're sitting inside...same goes for this headset I guess.

In terms of Audio specs there's a lot going on but does it all add up to be an insanely good audio experience? Well not quite...

They lost me with the none detachable cable. When the cable goes bad you need to replace the whole headset.

Bro.. don't really feel this as in bad taste... Your personal preferences are a mismatch for this pair of headphones..

The ESS quad config is basically meant to be flat as a slab... Like it's not meant for computer generated music. This type of config with the driver specs are going very close into the domain of critical listening.. I would bet if you put on any song with actual instruments it will blow you away.

That eq setting maybe a personal favourite for you, but this pair is absolutely not for listening on EQ.. play around with the EQ but keep it +- 2 db. Best turn it off..

Now the Animatrix display, Asus ROG has become a design language which is giving brands like Razer more than a run for their money.

Closed back type c integrated matched driver cans, consider connecting them a powered USB hub and see if you can power the hub with a very good SMPS, better if you get a toroidal ac to dc transformer.

Easy way, plug them into the type c port of an Android phone and use a lossless audio service, mqa stuff at this price range is an experience but not really a setup for that. Not until windows fixes it's audio stack. Look around if you can get it to work in a linux environment with pulseaudio.

They can sound amazing trust me.. Asus doesn't cut corners on audio.. like my amd64 754 pin Asus motherboard still sounds great and it was launched in 2003 or something. Have faith don't EQ and try it with real instruments.. the experience is really worth a try..

Great video.. Not happy about the permanent USB cable but my Razer Megalodon is still working so they may last .. I am yet to see Asus compromise on materials yet. And I could be wrong.. please try once. Good day 😊

i have this headset and i can confirm that the sound is strange and not the best. not worth the price and we are just paying for the name rog strix and the anime matrix display

im having trouble connecting the blue tooth to my computer. it shows on the usb that the bluetooth is connected its reconizing the blue tooth the headphones its self isnt connecting to my blue tooth it will just say power off even though I have charged it. so im confused on that part

I don't get LEDs on a headset. I don't friggin care if it lights up as a recreation of the Mona fucking Lisa, I want it to be comfortable, durable and have great sound.

I think the premium for these headphones is reasonable for a streamer or something. Someone who'd want to have something visually interesting like that on their stream/podcast... I do really like the look of the AniMe Matrix, but as a general consumer I'd look at something less expensive in ASUS's lineup.

For a price like that, it should be wireless. I hate wired equipment because anything happen to it, it basically deemed useless

What was the microphone setting? 16 bit 44 KHz? that's where the microphone catches up voices like you were in a cave or underwater and it's echoing a little. With 24 bit 48 KHz and above you shouldn't be having this kind of issue on a 250 dollars headset. But if the mic is actually this bad then asus ruined up their best headset ever. :/ And that's really disappointing.

Hi Social Hardware :) i want to buy it, but i got a question. what about hinge quality? i used g430 about 7 years. Every 5 months i changed hinge. whats your opinion of this? ASUS ROG Delta S Animate's hinge good or jurassic park? Thanks a lot, best regards
