Replaceable lenses are absolutely the biggest feature we have been needing. It's Litterally the reason I haven't bought a new 360 camera yet. If I damage a lense the whole camera is toast. Now it'll be a simple consumable and be able to refresh. Game changer!

At this point we just need more resolution to crop in, otherwise this is more of the same

no one is editing spinning and crazy transitions most people slowly walk and film with these things

Over the top edits are for the 1% or the over the top social media influencers

Most people just want perfect low grain video that you can zoom in to without looking like it’s 480p

Will the footage after reframing be truly 4k? With the X4 with 2 lenses the result after reframing is about 2, 7k so not even close to 4k. Hope the new camera will deliver true 4k end result

Thanks Mic! The replaceable lenses look like a nice feature, but I have a question about audio. Will the new camera have an easy method of attaching an external microphone? As we know, clear audio is important and using external mics always is better than internal mics.

Can you turn off Horizon lock? That was the big problem with the X4. Without that capability you cannot do realistic VR POVs. Especially for filming roller coasters with inversions.

The X4 was released just a year ago, while previous generations were between 1.5 to even two years. Insta360 is probably trying to beat DJI's 360 camera by releasing it sooner than theirs.

I don't consider replaceable lens protectors a revolutionary upgrade, it's a required upgrade for the product. I am hoping for a smaller X5 with longer battery life.

I just purchased an X4 with dive case on 4/1. Do you know if this new model will work with the X4 dive case and/or if this new model will support a dive case on release?

The x4 just got delivered by amazon yesterday...will send it back & wait for what's about to come. BUT: would someone mind telling me much time insta360 usually needs between the announcement and the actual shipment??

Does it do in-camera stitching and stabilizing so I can livestream video without the app?

All cameras are tools for a particular job. Last night i was scrolling through some family videos from a couple of years back and was really enjoying a particular one, when I suddenly realised it was from the X3. It looked fine. And that's because i didn't try to use it for shots it's not good at, or in low light and so on. For those shots I'm lucky to be able to choose a different tool as required. Anyway... It will be interesting to see what this much hyped device is going to offer, but i suspect that the laws of physics will still limit what can be achieved.

I want the pause a recording and continue an older recording like the Ace Pro2 has! Can it do that?

Can you say anything about photo quality, particularly HDR photo quality vs the X4?

looking forward to this release. I film with the Insta360 x3 and DJI Pocket 3 and sometimes the x3 video is just not good enough to include (lower light conditions). Based on the promo preview, this looks promising.
