Why scapula control?
Well, the scapula supports the shoulder joint and is involved in basically any upper body movement.
It can move in so many directions, so stabilising it is important.
But why?
Lack of scapula control can lead to a lot of different problems in the upper body, from pain to shoulder instability.
And if you are moving your upper body a lot, this can have effect on your shoulders.
Using exercises to stabilise the joint may help your shoulder to function better.
Bare in mind, these exercises are not required to be used for the actual workout, they can just be used as a warm up to help warm up and learn scapula control.
You will find using these exercises will help you will other upper body exercises.
I found it helped me a lot with press ups!
