Wow!!! Another situation where we do not count dummy points as a dummy (hand #37)!! This is fascinating!!

10:42 When having 13+ points, can we respond with 3NT? Yes I was reading Audrey's 21st Century Bidding book. In page 107 example, in response to a 1S opening bid, with the hand of 2S 3H 4D 4C, with 14HCP and honors in all suits, the author suggest 2NT bid. I wonder since a total of 27HCP is available, do you know why the author does not choose to game?

Now I can understand the rationale that since I suggested clubs as trumps with my long clubs, I do not count dummy points. At this point 8:15, shall the opener count (include) dummy points in his response to my 2C bid?

10:30 Just to be sure, the 1NT response here applies to a 1 major opening too as well, correct?

7:54 Why are dummy points not counted here when my hand will be dummy? Don't quite get the meaning of "its my long suit"
