The Maverick sold something like 150k this year. Toyota should definitely bring it here. It would be a huge money grab for them. So many people what small trucks for simple homedepot runs on the weekends.

no way this comes to the US. Toyota sees the US truck consumer with dollar signs in their eyes. They don't have any plans to offer an affordable truck here.

Toyota and Mazda should manufacture their own versions of this same truck together at their plant in Alabama...

I would prefer news for vehicles that come to America

Be nice to get the Stout here because paying 55k for a tacoma is insane

Cost is the biggest factor. If they can build it here and keep the cost DOWN, it could outsell the Tacoma/4runner. It depends what Toyota wants... marketshare or profit margins.

I’m sick of manufacturers not delivering what they promised. I’m sick of AI youtubers promising imaginary vehicles.

you're exactly right, seems a no-brainer for toyota to produce/sell a small truck like this.

Thanks for the update on the "Stout!" I keep checking your site. I have a full-size Ford that has been great. But I don't need a vehicle that size anymore. I've considered the Maverick, but I really want a Toyota hybrid truck like the Stout.

I hope this is also for the US market too. I had high hopes for this truck.

This needs to come to America before it’s gets too expensive cuz of the TARIFFS

I’m curious where this would fall in the price range. I feel like Ford’s main sales pitch for the Maverick was “you could get a sedan like a Civic or Corolla, OR for a similar price, you could have a pickup truck! and why wouldn’t you want a pickup truck?”

If Toyota wanted their Stout to compete with the Maverick, it’d have to be similarly priced. Would they cannibalize Corolla sales for the truck? Lower Corolla prices? Improve the Corolla’s value proposition as a proper car?

Remember all those hype videos on YouTube everywhere talking about the stout being released in 2023... Well its 2025 and its only proposed that production starts 2027 "STARTS" so in reality if this is actually true we probably won't see this till 2028-2030

The maverick/santa Cruz still have gone through like 2 redesigns by then

Will buy one right away. Been waiting way to long for Toyota Stout. Want one with hybrid 4wd and to get at least 40mpg and cheap under $25, 000 US dollars. Toyota will sell millions of them worldwide. Everyone needs a small good truck that has good Toyota reliability!!! We ❤ love Toyotas.

Thanks Kirk. This could be the best selling pickup truck in Europe. The midsize trucks for Europe are often to firm for people who don't use them in heavy work. They normally have payload at 2.200 lbs (1000 kg) and towing capacity at 7.700 lbs (3500 kg). A unibody pickup could also be interesting in Europe with payload at aprox 1000 lbs (450 kg) and towing capacity at aprox 4000- 4500 lbs (1800 -2000 kg).

If you don’t know what it is look it up I’m talking about the ram 700 if that was affordable, they could put it in their lineup and because they don’t have anything that’s affordable or affordable for a value

If they make an AWD “truck” like the Ridgeline that has the grand highlander power trains - it will sell better than anything out there comparable.
