A heavy padlock and some paracord can come in handy, especially when traveling in nonpermissive environments.

I don’t carry any of those that you’ve talked about. Don’t wanna deal with it. I carry a tops saw knife, tactical, flashlight, naturally, a firearm every day and sometimes pepper spray. People could do what they want, but they need to be careful. Another good video.

Thanks for a thought provoking video. A knife, to me, has always been a tool first and a defensive aid second. Only more recently did defense begin to become a primary consideration. I find using two single purpose blades best but usually go with a single, do it all, multi purpose tool.

Growing up with all boys made me realize they and their toys are the most fun!

Thank You for another awesome video, I live in Texas , we are pretty much able to carry whatever we want, but I love the alternatives that you have presented. God Bless Y'all and stay vigilant and prepared.

I have one of the Mini composition notebooks that come in packs of 3 from dollar tree. It’s on top of my phone in my pocket. Along with a stainless steel zebra pen. Good for taking notes and the notebook is a nice coverup when questioned about the pen. Pen has not been questioned when going through TSA because I pocket dump it with the notebook in the bin.

Can’t get more discreet than that lol

This isn't exactly controversial but I carry this tactical self-defense pain by Smith & Wesson. I love it because for one it can be very effective and give you a little bit of an edge if you have to get into a physical altercation with someone. But it's also pretty unassuming and the covert. You could literally walk around with this pain in your hand and if a cop tried to hassle you will give you trouble by asking you what you have in your hand all you have to do is just show him that it's a pen. And in that situation what is the cop going to do? Arrest you or get you in trouble over a freaking pen. And if you have to use it in a self-defense scenario you can just tell the cops (assuming that cops show up) that you simply used it as it was just what you had on hand. Assuming that anyone even realized that you were using the pen during the fight anyway.

And someone recently I started carrying around one of those self-defense sharpies.

Wearing heavy stainless steel rings—especially ones made from nuts—has long been an alternative to brass knuckles. They provide a solid striking surface and reinforce your fist without drawing much attention. Since they’re just rings, it’s harder to classify them as a weapon compared to brass knuckles, which are outright illegal in many places.

alternatives to knucks: climbing carabiner, kubotan/sturdy pen.
alternative to a sap/blackjack: bandana with a lock or heavy carabiner. also a piece of thick (~1")high voltage cable will probably raise some questions, but is definetly disposable.

when it comes to knives, there is no practical need for double edge. you can develop a preference for edge orientation and you only neet something that penetrates well. a single edge knife can penetrate very well.

good video!

Great video brother! I'm like you I carry a basic knife, well basic for me, every great now and again I will carry a firearm just depending on where I'm at..
I will tell you the brass knuckles for me are a no-fly.. Down here the boys in blue will come unglued if they catch you with em. When I was younger and I bounced I came across several fellows with rolls of quarters.... Not fun

Steel toe boots or shoes. They come in many different styles now and most are quite comfortable, look unassuming and highly effective with little special training needed. Most importantly - they leave your hands free to grab an additional weapon 😉

You can use a lock in a sock. That can be found in any state and can protect you or break something open.

Carrying a metal tool wrench🔧is legal in every State in the USA. The 9" inch length or 12" inch length creates good results.

Great video. Some alternatives can be all metal pens, tactical flashlights, etc.

I have always a Haselnuss hiking stick with a Metal point on the down side… this thing is like a spear if needed … and it swings with power over my head against the enemy… 🔥🔥🔥✌️🤩✌️🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great Video! Great subject… I want to be a law abiding citizen. I live right on the SC NC state line and from one day to the next am in either state even multiple times a day.
I had to accumulate a collection of carry blades depending on what I’m doing that day since the laws change significantly depending on which state I’m in.
