How to install Thermano insulation boards on floors
Показать описание
The installation of Thermano boards is very quick and simple. It does not differ from the installation methods used for other thermal insulation materials. For the insulation of floors in residential buildings, it takes not more than a few hours.
Thermano boards are next generation thermal insulation, of which the main advantages over traditional materials are especially: – very high thermal insulation – lambda at 0.023 – resistance to flooding – if the floor is flooded, Thermano stays undamaged and the floor insulation technical specifications remain unchanged – durability – unique pressure resistance.
To install the thermal insulation, you will need aluminium tape and Thermano boards. It will be important to select an appropriate insulation layer thickness — for many residential buildings the standard thickness that meets the requirements of the Ministry of Construction (for ex. in Poland) is 80 millimetres. For installation in industrial buildings, especially cold stores, freezers, fruit and vegetable storages, the thickness of boards should be based on design calculations.
Before laying Thermano, the lean concrete substrate should be relatively even and suitable for laying rigid thermal insulation. In residential buildings, it is recommended to lay 1200 x 600 millimetre boards.
Thermano is laid staggered. Boards are connected with a “TOP”-type lock, which ensures splendid tightness of the assembly. Thermano board interfaces are additionally secured by gluing aluminium tape. Another way could be to cover Thermano, for example with construction polyethylene film.
Thermano is perfectly suitable for the thermal insulation of floors with floor heating systems and fully resistant to high temperatures.
The final stage is the casting of the surface layer of the floor. Thus secured Thermano will serve for several generations. Polyurethane boards, as opposed to legacy thermal insulation materials, do not lose insulation performance with time.
