For 220 clerical jobs, the total applicants was nearly 30k even in small state like nagaland. So i believe that unemployment is real and the struggle too.

The main problem is that both the central and state governments are not recruiting full time employees.

Actually this is new trend that's started in India that there are lots of problem like unemployment, price rise, low quality of health infrastructure, low quality of life, decrease in govt. funded educational institutions but most of the people are ignoring all these problems. And they themselves assuming that everything is good and present govt. is doing very good.

Govt. exams are worse. I cleared an group D exam but it has been 2.5 years and students are merely protesting against state govt. nothing happens at ground level.

What an explanation! This is also applicable to NRIs like us, who has a PhD and looking for a job in India but not getting appropriate job in India.

Unemployment problem in India in 2024 is worst.Companies have stopped visiting colleges for placement.Even top engineering and management colleges in India like the iits and iims are unable to provide 100% placement.
But most sad part is noone is bothered about this problem

Well expressed Sir. This awareness is totally absent amongst the educated youngsters. I'm an Architect having 12 yrs+ exp and even worked abroad in Thailand & Singapore. Recently got laid off by big shot MNC (US based). Now I got a job in Saudi so God bless India. 🙏🏻

Yes you are right and the reasons are-
1. Costly access to education
2. Poor education system in govt schools
3. No proper guidance
4. Pvt school's monopoly and also the run by ngos/trusts having trustees as MPs and MLAs
5. No skill development plans etc.

I have a bachelor's in chemical engineering from India's top 10 govt. Engineering colleges, a master's in the same discipline from one of USA's top 30 engineering schools. Came to india in 2015, applied for literally 100s of jobs (note that during that time crude prices dropped from over $100/barrel to around $20), for chemical engineers those years were comparable to what is happening to the mass IT lay-off post pandemic now.

Then i started a small scale manufacturing unit in Tamik Nadu, using the state government's subsidy scheme for 1st generation entrepreneurs. Built the business from scratch, struggled to the point where suicidal thoughs were almost routine, barely survived the pandemic without sinking. I made less money in the last 7 years than what a bank FD would've given me, all while listening to people who know nothing about running a business, or those who suffer from survivorship bias (whose success can almost entirely be attributed to chance/luck/probability), about how loss in business is a normal thing and one must continue to struggle even when no hope is in sight.
Finally bailed out and sold the business for less than what a bank FD would've given me. Now I neither want a fucking job nor do I want to start anything. Buy switch on the TV to see the whole nation glorify that idiot of a prime minister, who is busy building temples to appease the religious fanatics who want ram rajya for akhand bharat.
Fuck these andh bhakth bastards who can't bother to dive deeper into the data, ignore all the propaganda and make rational choices.

I regret coming back to India because now i see how selfish people are when they drive on the roads, i see how ignorant they are when they fall for the Ayush ministries bullshit, i see how corrupt they are at every level. This country has already gone to the dogs. I dont see any hope. Sorry, my fellow country men, because in today's India, jingoism & religious nationalism is what passes as patriotism. Jai hind.😢

People don't understand how important a job is, how not having a job can throw you into depression for very long time...

And then people say "Why do students go to study abroad? Why don't they try to create a better India?" Man!!! If a student tries to make India a better place, all he faces is injustice due to some corrupted millionaires and the impartial government!! What do you think a middle-class child is gonna do if you don't present him with an equal opportunity??😒😒

I have completed my PhD in Mathematics from IIEST Shibpur, but I am unable to get any full time Assistant Professor job in Govt. College. Currently I am serving as a guest faculty in a Govt. University and the remuneration is class basis. The private engineering colleges are offering jobs at a very lower rate. But, the workload in these privately is huge and not fulfilling the UGC/AICTE guidelines.
