The idea of resting your finger on the guitar while tremolo-picking was something I had never thought of. It makes a huge difference, and that's why I watch these videos even for such easy songs. Thanks Erich!

Haven't touched my guitar in 27 years, (marriage, baby, work), playing Link Wray's "Rumble" sounds My little Telecaster is cheering me on through my Marshall...! But I think all of my once friendly neighbors are now turning against me it's so loud around here. The beast has awoken....Let's get ready to RUMBLE!

December 2020, in the middle of the Covid quarantine & I watched Pulp Fiction for the first time. I Shazammed this song (had heard it before but didn’t know the artist). YouTubed how to play, & my old buddy Erich popped up. Great tutorial, Erich. Your video production has improved a bit over the years, but the knowledge, patience & humor is still the same as back then. So all you Rockstars out there, pay attention. Erich is the Man. Great instructor, gives so much back to the guitar community. Keep positive. Test negative.

This felt like a three hour lesson for three chord description. Agonizing. Man I'm impatient. Thanks! Appreciated! Love this song.

FINALLY!!! Many good tutorials out there for this song but until now nobody covered that solo section. Many thanks, now I can complete this tune.

I never knew who Link Wray WAS until I heard RUMBLE on community radio.
When I heard this tune for the first time I thought WOW...
SO simple yet so raw...
That was 6 months ago..
Now I'm hooked on this style forever....
Everybody Loves Rumble

This video was the first to actually teach me something in full out of the multitudes of other videos on YouTube, thank you my good man!

This was the first song Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page played together the first time they met, and is on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Completely iconic!
I went to a recently retired coworker’s house for Thanksgiving diner on Thursday. She and I had always talked about playing guitar together before but never had. I get to her house; a fantastic brownstone in DC on Capital Hill 4 blocks from the actual capital building, and we smoke up and begin playing in her studio. Unbeknownst to me, this person had been taking lessons from a pro guitar player for years(well, that part I knew) but had never played with another guitar player before besides her instructor. Also, all the brownstones on her block had connected back porches and Thanksgiving there was basically a big block party. We kept on playing and eventually people start walking into her studio one by one, and eventually we have over 50 people there listening to us play. I’m thinking to myself “how many damned people did she invite over for dinner…”
It’s was a great time! Can’t wait to do it again! We’re playing at my place in Manassas next week.

Great. Thank you. I like how you link this lesson with other lessons and other areas of knowledge of the guitar, such as the 12th fret being an octave up. Good stuff.

Erich. What makes is that guitar you're playing? Looks gorgeous and sounds great. Cheers.

Dude you're awesome. Would love some Smiths lessons. Johnny Marr is the man and you could impart lots of goodness teaching some of his stuff.

I have a hard time barring the first 2 strings. I just do a half Barre with my first finger over the D, G, B, high E
Then my 2nd finger on the G
On the solo part. Great lesson! Thanks!

I do not currently own any of your teaching tool, though based on your videos on "the Tube, I should. I really enjoy them and I find them helpful. I am still too TAB dependent to gain the most out of them... or maybe I am just lazy. Definitely a bit of ADD, refined over the past 40 years:)
