Just because the baby just had a bath doesn't mean she didn't "smell" bad or unfamiliar to the cat. Cats have a very sensitive sense of smell.

We were living in a Peniche in Paris when we had our first baby . Our cat was just one year old, we arrived with the baby, Bicho smelled the baby and left . Hours later we were looking for it and couldn’t find it . I remember I heard some “splash” outside but didn’t pay attention really . Then it clicked, I ran outside and looked overboard and the cat was in the water, Seine river in winter ! I was able to rescue the cat, brought it inside, took care of it and he stayed for hours in front of the heater ..
We were so shocked about his reaction .

Some cats does whatever it takes to get attention. She probably fear that they will forget about her now that they have the baby. But hopefully it will get better soon, especially when the baby start to eat solid food and drop a lot of it on the floor.... Then the cat will probably like her better...!
