mash-Dimarzio D-Activator and Rautia 8* comparison

This is a subjective comparison between the Rautia 8 and the Dimarzio Dactivator 8 bridge pickups. I used the same Line6 patches to record both pickups. No post eq.

Note (*)-The Rautias' are not the Rawdogs found on his site. They are completely different pickups. They will have an official name once they go into production.

Rautia sounds more, like, tight to me... Nice! That would be great to hear those pickups sound on different amps/settings.

Wow dude I really liked the Rautia pickup! Any chance of a lead tone comparison of neck pickups?

I like the Dimarzio more, just because it sounds articulate and brilliant without loosing fullness. The Rautia sounded pretty hollow in comparison. Just MHO.

They sound the same to me, maybe the Deactivator just a tad better.

d-activator for sure,
rautia has a lot of DUNNN but lacks mids...

A lot of tone deaf people here wow... The D'Activator has slightly more output so it sounds louder...They also have more mid/high tone... The Rautia has more Mid/Low so it has a thicker sound... Depends on what sound your going for... They both sound nice but I am going to get the Rautia becasue of the bottom end it has... Because I want my guitar to have some balls and not sound so empty...
