Lining up with a 1.4GHz processor and Carl Zeiss optics bragging camera, the Nokia Lumia 800 looks set to be the first Windows Phone 7 device to rival the likes of Android powered Samsung Galaxy S II, the HTC Sensation XE and new Motorola RAZR in terms of high-end high-performance specs.

Nokia should have put their efforts in developing MeeGo which is remarkable.

i dont get why people are angry about the fact that it has the same design as the n9. the n9 has a great design, so why not have the nokia lumia have the same one? and n9 wasnt developed to be the better phone than lumia, in other words, the n9 is not the high-end-smarthphone that the lumia 800 is.
and btw nokia did a great job creating a nice phone if you look at the hardware, which is better than most samsung/apple phones.
and iphones all look similar so what's the big deal?

@deanie557 why are you so angry at how people say things? different parts of the world have their own dialects, even if it is the same language. but still i agree that it should be pronounced Nah-kia or "knock-ia"

I wonder why the Fujitsu IS12T is hardly ever mentioned in WP7 coverage. It even has a 13.2 Mpx camera—in a phone. This Nokia has a similar feel to the Fujitsu that came out back in September and was running Mango then.

@lwkin1986 engineering ignorance strikes again. They need to spec, design, source hardware suitable for WP7 - could be up to 6months. Then try integrating that and ironing out bugs, plus allowing the nokia WP team to re-write their own apps like drive.

@Epicme why does it have to compete with Galaxy Nexus? You will have dual core but so far Android has done nothing with it that could Change but even on this new phone reports keep saying it still lags and is not smooth. It would appear that WP7 is very smooth. What makes me laugh is that you watched this video just so you could moan. As an Android user i can't wait to change to iOS or WP7 Android is just about bragging rights as there is all this tech in a phone that never really gets used.

i swear this is the most overrated phone.. this is one of the most uninspiring looking phones ive ever seen, why is it so acclaimed? btw i'm NOT talking about the OS just the handset itself.

Compete? The Metro designed apps are gorgeous, developers must be proud to create such apps. :) Iphone should be renamed to GrannyPhone, starts to look something from the 70's lol! and Android 4.0?I asked my friend Peter: Will you upgrade your samsung with 2.1 to the 4.0? :( I can't update, i can't even pass from 2.1. lol
