I just tried both of these watches on today. Love the black. Beautiful watch. I was absolutely shocked how much play there was in the bezel. Both had a significant amount. I grabbed a ceramic and it didn't have anywhere near the amount of play as the aluminum.

The watches are gorgeous. I wish they made the Seamaster 300 in a smaller case size for people that have small wrists - 39mm dial with 47mm or less lug-to-lug would be perfect.

Again I might be in the minority here. I much prefer the standard ceramic seamaster with the standard bracelet and the date. But these are nice additions to the line.

Tried the steel on gray rubber today and it is absolutely gorgeous in person. One of those watches where photos just do not do it justice. The shine that comes off the dial compensates for the loss of ceramic bezel, and the gray rubber complements it perfectly. Domed crystal is 10/10. Very tempting indeed

The grey dial and titanium bezel remind me of US Navy Destroyer. It’s visually spectacular in the way it catches the light but also has an aura of menacing danger - like a Destroyer

I would still always go for the hi gloss Royal blue ceramic dial and bezel model as released in 2018.
Compliments to them for going in different directions, this feels similar to Seiko, same watch just in a different colour.

The black one looks great! Reducing the visual impact of the wave pattern helps a lot. That mesh bracelet clasp is just bollocks though. Why can't they just do a proper 'tapering' steel bracelet?

I've been searching for a no-date watch for some time. The fact that this is a no-date dive watch, with an aluminum bezel (instead of the cheap looking ceramic bezel), at almost half of the price of a no-date sub makes this a VERY compelling watch. I'm a rolex fan through and through, but never wanted to be a basic submariner type of guy. This might be the solution to all of my issues and might convert me to buy an Omega. Nice!

I love the Seamaster. Got no idea why the Aquaterra is more expensive.
I think if the 300 was a bit smaller & do away with the valve, it would suit more people & would sell more. Just my personal opinion.

Great review! On a side note, i bought two B&J straps through Time+Tide and I have to say it resparked my love for my Speedy. Amazing quality and so much more comfortable than the old clunky Omega metal bracelet!

5:25 I have this bracelet on the bronze gold and titanium model and absolutely LOVE it. I have a 7" wrist. I see a lot of complaints on this bracelet in reviews. I guess it depends a lot on wrist size. I think this is one of the best bracelets on any watch I own. The black dial on the same bracelet is on my next to buy list.

Just got the black version with the black rubber strap and grabbed a grey and black NATO strap too. Watch no. 4 to the collection. Really can’t believe what such a super high quality classic watch it is! Super hefty in a reassuring but not too heavy way. Was set on a speedie but very time I tried it on in the shop it just didn’t sit well on my wrist.

Finally, a Sub killer. The fact I can’t walk into a Rolex AD and give them my money because there’s no available stock, I’ll walk across the street to the Omega AD.
