Constructed languages are languages that have been consciously devised for human communication, instead of developing naturally. The University of Rochester is home to a coterie of Constructed Language enthusiasts, or “Conlang-ers,” on its campus. One English course offers a brief history of medieval languages and constructed languages, allowing students to construct their own languages in the process.
