Habité par ses influences musicales de toujours (François de Roubaix, Daniel Schell, Frank Zappa, Scarlatti, Rachmaninoff...) Antoine Souchav' façonne un programme de pièces denses et énergiques, souvent dansantes, toujours visuelles, au croisement des langages de la musique ancienne et électronique.

Son récital est basé sur des transcriptions de Yellow Magic Orchestra, trio de synthpop nippon légendaire, mené entre autres par Ryuichi Sakamoto, qui excelle à composer de touchantes lignes mélodiques empreintes de tradition japonaise, cachées sous les couches de synthétiseurs et de montages électroniques.

Antoine Souchav’ révèle cette dimension souvent inaperçue du trio, en convoquant le clavecin, instrument situé le plus à la diagonale opposée possible de l’univers du trio électronique japonais. Diagonale temporelle et géographique qui nous touche tout droit, à la fois par son incongruité totale et sa naturelle évidence.

Influenced by his lifelong musical inspirations (François de Roubaix, Daniel Schell, Frank Zappa, Scarlatti, Rachmaninoff...), Antoine Souchav' crafts a program of dense and energetic pieces, often danceable and always visual, at the intersection of ancient and electronic music languages.

His recital is based on transcriptions of Yellow Magic Orchestra, the legendary Japanese synthpop trio led by Ryuichi Sakamoto among others, known for composing touching melodic lines steeped in Japanese tradition, hidden beneath layers of synthesizers and electronic arrangements.

Antoine Souchav’ reveals this often unnoticed dimension of the trio by summoning the harpsichord, an instrument situated as far removed as possible from the world of Japanese electronic trio. This temporal and geographical juxtaposition strikes us directly, both for its complete incongruity and its natural clarity.

La musicalité universelle qui règne dans YMO et qui a étudié la musique avec une technologie d'avant-garde semble être clairement extraite par la musique baroque.

En realidad en la discografía de Yellow Magic Orchestra hay más temas electropop que synthpop. Aunque cabe mencionar que todo lo que es electropop también es synthpop.
