When I watch a 50’s film and I hear that fanfare and see filmed in CinemaScope, I know I’m in for a banger.

The extended fanfare was created for the addition of the Cinemascope title card. George Lucas would resurrect this logo for Star Wars using the extended fanfare to show, a then modestly designed Lucas Films, Ltd. in simple blue lettering as a title card in place of Cinemascope.

Imagine seeing this in theatres for the 1st time. Little did they know that it would be used today

In the beginning of some of the movies that were distributed by 20th Century Fox between 1953 and 1979 said "A CinemaScope Production" and I remember it said "A CinemaScope Picture", they also used that for their films that were made at the time.
