Paul, not sure you are ‘skipping church’ since you are going out of your way to provide a service for a person in need. Which at the end of the day is what it is all about. Best to you guys!

11:27 "See which screw driver I don't like the best..." said every auto mechanic working on a starter solenoid.... thanks for the memories of saying that to myself many times.

Paul, you did not skip church, you took church on the road! God Bless you all for the awesome ways you bless others and the way you mentor your crew/family, or is it family/crew.... Fab Rats are AWESOME!

I've been to Escalante. Needed to make a call. No service. Asked a convenience store clerk. She said, go to the high school and stand next to the flag pole. Bingo. 4 bars.

Not me hiding in the bus 😂😂. Thank you guys for the rescue, thank you to the towing company that told us to call y’all (even though they couldn’t come get us), and thank you so much to the couple that had to do the slots in the dark because they were kind enough to let us use their phone to make all of those desperate phone calls. Verizon… of course they’d have bars in Escalante.
It’s amazing how many people have found out about Escalante since the first time I’ve been out there. This was the first time I’ve probably been thankful for the “crowd” because if this was even 5 years ago we would’ve been screwed 😮‍💨

Yeah, seeing how you and Landon were lending a helping hand to some folks who were down and out, I'm pretty confident that God will certainly forgive y'all for missing Church this time! Y'all did a really good turn for that THIS is why Fab Rats is my #1 favorite channel on May God continue to richly bless all y'all!!!

Paul, you are a good man. To takeoff on a 2 Hour drive to help someone in need. From just a message and no confirmation.

I've seen our off road rescue community do some amazing things for stranded people over the years. There are people that will drop everything and drive for hours to rescue folks. All people have to do is post their GPS coordinates, a picture if they can, and a phone number if they can.

I helped a guy and his family in thier bus. Broke down for like 6 weeks at a truck stop in SC. Had a mechanic come out.. threw a air dryer on.took him for like $3k.then never came back to finish or help him. He gotten under back.saw air tank blew out.order a tank. Spent a week trying to get it out..

That guy is from the South and you showed some "southern" hospitality out west going all the way over over there to help him out. He'll be talking about this forever.

Nothing like being in the middle of nowhere, no one can help. That is why in the oilfield we always tried to help. You never knew when you were next and needed something.

Landon is a heck of a good kid. Works hard.

Love that area and thinking about spending a couple weeks there this fall.
I've been starting my John Deere tractor with the screwdriver 'key' for several years. I kinda wished that guy would have wanted to see exactly what you did to jump the solenoid starter in case he stalled it out, shut it off or next starter failure. 5 min jump solenoid lesson versus a $1, 200 big rig tow bill. Glad you helped him, thanks.

there are two starter relays on that bus, one on the panel on the firewall and one by the driver's left foot.
the one under the hood is the one that goes out the most often! if the starter spins, I would go relay first, it's a lot cheaper repair.
as a retired school bus mechanic I have seen a lot of those fun problems, and they never happen in a convenient place! great job getting him out of the middle of nowhere.

It's sad that no one would help the guy, except for Fab Rats!
