That first lead Detective, Jones is a man of integrity. He refused to take the easy (evil) route and send innocent ppl to prison. As it should be. Respect!

On a serious note give this detective credit for not giving up after all those years.

Idk why I’m crying but the thought of those 4 girls being killed execution style in some place as wholesome as an ice cream shop, just disturbed me

Thank you for all you did for these families Mr. Jones. You may not have solved this case during your time as a detective but we appreciate your dedication. Rest in Peace to these 4 beautiful angels.

The fact that they were filming and have the real footage from this night is so wild to me!

You are a man of integrity Detective Jones. Even though you did not close the case you did not let another injustice be done. That is more valuable than anything.

Shame.
Imagine being the last to be shot, knowing what's going to happen.
The fear those poor souls felt 💔

I used to work at a TCBY when I was 17-18, and this is haunting. One night while we were closing. 10:30pm. There was a man sitting across the parking lot using binoculars to watch me and another girl work. I called our boss to come down and close up with us because we were qfraid to walk to our cars. This could have been us... 😢 rip poor girls.

Heartbreaking. I still remember this horrific crime. I was only 8yrs old at that time, but I remember my parents were glued to the news watching for updates. I remember them coming into my room, hugging me tightly several nights, and reminding my siblings and me that there are bad ppl out there. I can't even imagine the heartache these families had to deal and live with all these years.

I remember this happening back in 1991 when I was 19 and living in Austin. Read about it in the newspaper and found it really disturbing. Then just now, more than 30 years later, I see the title of this episode and when I started watching I was like, "NO WAY!"

I saw this case before on Crime Watch Daily. Its been three decades since the infamous case happened, and these four poor young ladies deserved to rest in peace, as well as closure for their families indeed!!

John is such a caring gentleman. I pray that all our policemen would have this kind of integrity and compassion. I also pray for his peace. 🙏

I love Jone's obvious compassion. He seems like such a genuine person. My prayers go out to him and the families. I can't imagine losing 1 child, let alone 2!

So we're just going to ignore the fact 2 innocent men spent FIFTEEN years in jail. Smh.

I was spending the night with my grandmother the night this happened. She lived less than 2 miles from the yogurt shop. I remember the next morning when she was looking at the newspaper shaking her head saying it’s just so awful. So awful.
Her address was 8012 Gault. It’s an empty lot now, but we walked to that yogurt shop many times.

Wow, seeing a young Erin Moriarty in 1992 was crazy, she's really a veteran of this show!

Thank you for starting my Thursday at the office right with making this episode available. Now let's hope the killers are finally caught.

I work in eDiscovery and unfortunately had to see the crime scene of the interior of the shop with their bodies when the accused had their rights trial. I had always heard of this trial because the news would bring it up every couple of years and i moved to Austin in 95. Was same age as Sarah and know a few people that went to school with her. I do not believe these men were the killers but i can totally see how the detective would get PTSD after seeing that because i have to see photos of crime scenes and fatality auto crashes and that’s just photos, not physically in person at the scene. No one should have to endure what they went through, it was a horrific scene. I pray the real killers will be found and charged.
