Nollywood legend, Genevieve Nnaji MFR, explains what led her to avoid Hollywood and focus on developing the film/ movie industry in Nigeria.

According to Genevieve, Hollywood wanted Nigerian stories that fit their perspective of Nigeria/ Africa.

Genevieve added that she has a lot of respect for Hollywood and Bollywood, but feels Nigeria is equally capable of developing an equal industry through Nollywood.

Genevieve produced and directed one of Nollywood’s first features on Netflix “Lionheart”, with Nkem Owoh.
