Great pictures about the mechanical flywheel system. Glad someone finally made an explanation based on open resources and an educated analysis on the GTR-LM Nismo.

The aero and packaging was absolutely on point, in my opinion.
What let the team down was mainly the hybrid system. Without it, more pressure was put on other differentiators, thus compromising the reliability even further.
Without hybrid, the car should not even have raced. It was never supposed to race without it.
