The chorus is about repeated viewings on VHS — how when you are rewinding something the picture dims and when you press ‘play, ’ the room floods with light again. Listened to this album on my first visit through Europe. Probably listened to it like 40+ times on repeat while on beautiful flights and train rides through unknown scenery and places. This song in particular has to be the most beautiful thing I hear daily and instantly places me back there no matter the state of the day. Thanks Sylvan Esso.
