Seattle has had many great Junior hockey teams and rivalies with other close by teams in the WHL that made them primed for this, the NHL. Seattle is just a great sports town too. I think the real story is how the NHL has done this, ...dont forget, ...these players were given up by other teams, ...these VERY talented dudes come together with a "we will show them" attitude and this is what happens. Can you imagine all meeting up in a dressing room, no history, no track record, level playing feild, ...all guys top level talent. It could fall on its face, ...or go this way. Its a movie story line if there ever was one. What a ride for this team. GoKrakenGo

I kind of like how the NHL handles expansion teams. When you put a brand new team in a city with no hocky history immediatly make it a good team to draw fans and plant the seeds for a future fanbase.
