BlackBerry Z10 Revisited (2019)

The BlackBerry Z10 is a high-end LTE touchscreen-based smartphone developed by BlackBerry, previously known as RIM. The BlackBerry Z10 is the first of two new BlackBerry phones presented at the BlackBerry 10 event on January 30, 2013. BlackBerry's chief operating officer Kristian Tear and chief marketing officer Frank Boulben fought against co-founder and former co-CEO Mike Lazaridis to have the touchscreen Z10 prioritized over the Q10 which has a physical keyboard.

Z10 uses the new BlackBerry 10 (Currently running on 10.3.3) mobile operating system based on QNX. The user interface of BB 10 is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. I had one back in 2014 man this bring back so much memories though the apps were limited it's a tough phone either, what I love about this phone was the BlackBerry Hub I find it neat to know all your notifications are organized

This phone is more durable than an iPhone 5, dropping it would barely do anything to it.

You know what, this was a good phone. It took good pictures for the time, extremely durable and just a good phone. The only thing that held it back was software. Blackberry OS 10 with only Blackberry World and Amazon app store isn't enough. Not nearly enough apps. I always had to sideload sketchy .apk files that constantly crashed and froze. The software in general was atrocious. Having a removable battery was also nice, but I never replaced it. Also never used the mini HDMI port thing. Notification light was nice. I absolutely LOVED the play/pause between the volume buttons. This is is so durable and you didn't even need a case for it to be honest. I bought a case right before I switched to a hand me down Samsung. Battery life and charging speeds weren't that good though. I had no issues with the gestures, but other people could barely use it.

I bought a mint one on ebay for $10. Eventually got bored with it and sold it. BBOS 10 is just not the same without a keyboard. Ended up getting a classic

Had this phone for work several years ago and really hated it! Started using it again just recently and now I absolutely love it!! The quality compared to a mid-range android phone is unbeatable. The speaker.. wow, and BB hub- so awesome. For straight up phone and texting, can't be beat imo. Can grab these for $25-50 on ebay.

I have a BB Z10. I love it except I've had no end of trouble with apps. Is it me or the phone? I can't get Instagram or WhatsApp on it, and I've pretty much given up on it. Any tips or should I just give in and go Android?

Too bad cant run twitter anymore.. heating issue and batery life is not good. Camera pretty good tho and the BB10 OS just mind blowing

Microsoft mobile os failed
But Huawei is coming with Harmony OS
Hope it is successful in creating an alternative for android 👍

Litte tip i have this phone too i manage to install from my internet browser apk pure since then i'm able to install any android application on it for information whatsapp is not working !! instead use telegram. great phone only problem batery life not good for 2019
