My brother grew up riding backcountry because the resorts did not allow snowboards back then. He will tell you, kirkwood backcountry has the best natural features. All of Tahoe is a playground and you can find things anywhere but back in the day, backcountry Kirkwood was the spot for all the VHS spots

my friends and i were building a jump in the side country seasons ago and a ski instructor came past with like 10 kids and side slipped the whole run in for us it was awesome and made it so smooth
