A couple days after Thanksgiving we decided to go splitboarding in the Mt Baker Backcountry. It hadn't snowed in a day so the ski area would not have had the best snow. We set out to snowboard powder and we definitely found it. The PNW has had a great start to the season but only Crystal Mountain and Mt Baker are open in Washington (at this time).
Mt Herman is a medium long trip but not the longest or hardest tour. At the end of the day we had three runs under out belt. Every trip up and down got better with good visibility and more flow to our runs. SUBSCRIBE to catch our next adventure which is an even better day in the Mt Baker backcountry.
