Hi Miranda, I bought that small pack of holbein gouache and did not like it but persevered and my goodness is it a learning curve. I now love it ( not as much as watercolours) but it's a totally different look. I've bought the Windsor and Newton gouache for myself for christmas and can't wait

I love you showed the difference between the two primaries. I think I lean towards the CYM as I like a nice purple! I love how the artwork came out too looks like it could come right out of a story book :)

Aww how cute is the painting! Interesting to see the differences and similarities between the two sets. I still haven't tried acrylic gouache but I think I might need to get some. Acrylic is always difficult, lol. I am really loving the slow drying Golden Open acrylic paints, they're so much less annoying. 😂

Thank you for sharing the subscription boxes. It gives me a chance to see materials that I might not experience. Sometimes the materials are tempting and sometimes not. These are not but interesting to see the pigment info. If I was feeling less lazy or not so busy, I would compare the acrylic gouache pigments with the regular qouache.

Aw, they are cute! This little dinner remind me of a fairytale picture book. I’m not sure how I feel about acrylic gouache but I already know I am not a fan of acrylics! I don’t find them easy to work with

I like gouaches and use acrylics. But Acrylic gouaches... not really rocks my boat. The illustration was sweet and the box was rather good value, though. Have fun and take care. Have a great weekend. V.

I've yet to try gouache. However buying some could play into my new favorite pastime-searching art supplies with incredible coupons. I spent 30 years as a purchasing agent-I can't help myself. I like the whole split page thing-maybe sometime try it with say cheap vs artist grade paints?

It was surprising to watch that despite you are right handed you started on the right side going to the left. I'm right handed too and always work from left to right, so I don't need to be extra careful not messing up the side I've already painted. 😄
