Whether it is an NDA or not, it says you are not allowed to share information about the game with anyone.

The public only has a right to know what's happening behind the scenes if the company in question itself is public, which Valve is not.

The ban is justified based on the simple fact that in the game it says you're access will be taken away if you share shit about the game. Also reviewing a game that's in an alpha testing stage is just an insane thing to do in the first place

Like...even though i was happy i got to see it, it was undoubtedly wrong what he did if there was a informal agreement.
I just dont understand the reason for that informal agreement. Why would valve invite journalists for a closed door test without wanting any information out when people are so eager to hear about them, and they have their own teams for testing? I'd assume you invite journalits because you want them to do their job... so idk...
