The depiction of black people being sad, brutalized, degraded, and humiliated is entertainment for this country. Always has been. You can see that just by reading the comments connected to this story. Nothing changes because most of us unconsciously or consciously accept that black folks are deserving of suspicion, fear and punishment. Our police force reflects that. Until we acknowledge internalized racism, this sadly will continue to be theater for the masses.

The fact that ppl can come in the YouTube comment sections and make a mockery of someone's death says a lot.

Why is ok to keep dismissing people's feelings? The first thing I learned in my social problems course is that a social problem is not defined as a problem until it affects the status quo and I am seeing that more and more.

I am dumbfounded that good law enforcement officers don’t call and root out fellow officers who are rogue. Bad cops endanger the lives of good cops. (Why do I say this?) Your answer: when the public finally gets fed up they will start preemptively strike back at law enforcement and when they do they will not discriminate they will see anyone who dons the badge as the enemy.

I know how this guy feels. A white guy was shot and killed by a deputy in Oregon and I was so broke up about it I had to call in sick to work.

ALL COPS ARE BAD. THE SO-CALLED GOOD COPS COVER FOR THE BAD COPS. WHEN THE SO-CALLED GOOD COPS DON'T CALL OUT THE BAD COPS. THAT MAKES THEM JUST AS GUILTY.

This is one of the problems in the issue of cross race adoption as well. If a parent didn't grow up in this reality, then they will not have a conversation with darker skinned /targeted children.

I find it strange how people can talk about and criticize the act of Colin sitting during the nation anthem but they seldom explore and comment on his statement . Blacks are being killed and the rogue officers are getting paid vacations . Eric Garner was videotaped being choked by NYPD officers. A direct violation of departmental rule. Garner could be heard pleading to officers 11 times that he could not breathe. In spite of the video evidence NOTHING was done. The officer did not receive even a department sanction for breaking a written rule. Eric Garner was killed for selling cigarettes . Local prosecutors and the sorry Justice Department have sat on their hands while the most basic rights of Blacks have been violated . Human beings are dying without any sanctions yet those in sports and the media are upset because Colin is sitting during the playing of a song.

Thank you DL Hughley for speaking out on this slaughter for sport against a race of men. We must have and reiterate "the talk".

D.L. Hughley…..any thoughts on the recent mass murder of five Dallas police officers that were protecting the BLM protest at the time of the slaughter?
