Ethan grew up so much. He looks so dashing, sounds a lot more indepdent and mature. So happy for all those children wanting to live their life!

This show should really be called “What happens when you shelter your kids too much.”

I feel so horrible for Lydia, she just wants to please everyone and is so torn. Her family has vilified her siblings and they haven't done anything wrong.

THIS is why parents can't be too strict with their kids. As soon as they get the chance, they will rebel, and some of them may never speak to their parents again. Too many rules will destroy the relationship between parents and kids.

How does a family that “doesn’t believe in watching TV” land a reality show??

The mom is a wack job. She has raised her kids up based on whatever bad behavior she committed in college and that’s so wrong. The world can be a harsh place if you have no life experiences growing up on how to deal with life. These kids were raised in a cult like situation and the mom had to know that when they were growing up they needed more experiences than rules.

I feel so bad for Lydia, I can relate to how she's acting at the end. I used to be really religious when i was younger and remember doing the exact same thing, praying really hard to God. She's doing all she's ever known to help her family. I really hope she can accept that maybe her family is too different in the sense that each one of them has a different way of living, and that is ok.

Despite their upbringing the older kids seem like really mature, level headed and responsible young adults that just want to have some freedom and experience the world they live in and the parents act like they’re hardened criminals. And all they’re asking for is respect! Wtf is wrong with these parents?!?

I did my dissertation on the importantance of allowing children and young people to experience a healthy level of risk. These children were sheltered from everything. People need to experience life, the good and the bad in order to be able to assess risky situations in the future and become better at important decision making moments. Never over shelter your children as it will only cause issues in the future 🤦‍♂️

She’s essentially punishing them for her mistakes when she was in her 20’s that most people in their 20s make.

All of their older kids are literally telling their parents that they need to change or the same thing will happen with the rest of their children

I love this family. I think that it's sad that the siblings can't hang out with each other alone though. Dear Plath parents, if you squeeze a bar of soap hard enough, it will slip out of your hands every time!

My heart goes out to Lydia at the end. She drank the most sauce and I hope she is able to find peace

When you slowly start losing your kids then it's time to evaluate yourself.
