Ray Acheson on the gun culture in the United States

Ray Acheson, the director of WILPF's disarmament programme, Reaching Critical Will (RCW) spoke to us on the manifestations of the gun culture in the United States during our meeting on marketing #war and #Weapons.
This international meeting focused on understanding and developing strategies to counter practices used by militaries and the gun industry to promote militarisation, war, and the sale of weapons, especially those that exploit gender stereotypes and weaponise ideas about manhood and masculinities.
This three-day meeting was co-convened between 15-17 July by WILPF's Mobilising Men for Feminist Peace Initiative (MMFP), Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, the Gender Equality Network for Small Arms Control (GENSAC), and the Small Arms Survey.
