Gov. Ned Lamont walked around Connecticut Day at the Big E with Dennis House to see the local offerings. They also talked about electric bills, EVs, reckless speeders, Connecticut tourism and whether he will run for a third term in 2026.

The Gov can't be more wrong about the reason why there are so many reckless drivers. Yeah, you had a number during COVID when the roads were empty. Now, it is 100% criminals driving with any combo of suspended license, no insurance, stolen car/plates, or fake temp plates. They see a police officer pull out behind them, they just take off. Police not allowed to pursue. No repercussions.

Also if he is wondering why it's so hard for them to find officers, just look at the recent investigations. Federal one was dropped finding no evidence. Then immediately they get hit by that stupid one because of an obvious defund the police following Reddit post. Demoralizing existing officers, and making ones think twice about joining.
