Subnautica is a once in a lifetime experience. The first time playing subnautica is an absolute rollercoaster. However, I feel like that means future subnautica games won’t be able to capture the same feeling as the original (bz a perfect example).

Subnautica is one of those games where I wish I could forget everything about it, just to experience it for the first time again.

I played this game for the first time recently, and I can confidently say that it still was an amazing experience even tho it was an older game. I still couldn’t believe how free and open the map was.

I believe it holds up. I'll admit the first time is THE experience of Subnautica, but it has great replayability. A passable building system, lore galore, and a whole crater to explore. It's fun, immersive to me, and genuinely a blast.

It still is a gorgeous world, but the fear of the unknown deeps is something you only get to experience once.
After several playthroughs I'd confidentially swim with just a seaglide and knife into reaper infested waters.

I didn't realize the habitat builder was a thing/available in 'early' game, so I just built dozens and dozens of underwater lockers- labeled and everything. And I just lived in the lifepod. When I realized it wasn't that difficult to build a base and I could easily get storage and an actual living space. Well. Lesson learned

I will never forget when I saw the big gun shoot down the ship coming to rescue you, and the unnerving exploration of that alien base. Not knowing if a hostile alien would attack at any minute. On of my favorite gaming experiences.

Still looks amazing and has a better story then most triple A games. I can't believe it's already been 5 years since subnautica came out, man time goes by too fast. Subnautica will always be one of the best games ever made in my opinion.

The first run made me fall in love with it. It became my comfort game. I’m still at home in the oceans of 4546B. Whenever I feel stressed I can go and play some Subnautica. It’s not as magical as it was but I love it. I’ve played over 200 hours of it at this point

Honestly still a banger video game in my opinion!

Have you thought of making videos of each of the biomes in-game? I think that would be a great idea!

"CAUTION: Multiple leviathan class lifeforms detected in the area. Are you sure what youre doing is worth it?"

Is and always will be the most chilling voice line ive ever heard in a game.

I haven't seen many people mention this, but your thumbnails and your channel's general artwork are beautiful. Pair that with well-produced entertaining videos and you have an amazing Youtuber overall. Keep it up, man! Your channel is destined for great things.

Saw this video a few days ago but thought I’d leave my comment now after rewatching it.

Subnautica is such a beautiful game, in that I wish I could replay it for the first time ever again so badly. And I recommend everybody to play this game atleast once, however. I’ve replayed the game about 4 times (this last month being my 4th time) and I must say, the game still brings the same excitement. Break it up between a year or two. It’s been two years since I played it, I’ve already beaten it right? But man replaying it this last month told me that this game has so much under the surface and always has so much mystery and lore surrounded by it that every time you play it it provides a new experience. I love Alterra and the “alien” species lore and would love more. I would love for a Subnautica 2 however as once mentioned “it’ll never be the same as the first.”

Thanks for posting this video. Love your videos dude and keep rocking!

Oh and you earned a sub <3

Does anybody else remembers the first versions of Subnautica: Below Zero, where you could meet the grown-up emperor leviathans from the first game? i don't understand why they deleted that feature, it was really nostalgic

Usually subnautica gets me looking into sub stuff and under sea stuff, but now that sub stuff got me playing subnautica

Not only does it hold up well, the devs have actively been updating it since release even after they made Below Zero so it's even better today than it was when it came out.

It's one of those games I'd love to have wiped from my memory so I can play it fresh again because of how awesome it was.

The game is an absolute masterpiece. As a person with rather bad thalassophobia, it was a struggle but one well worth it.
