Stream with Sound on Discord - Fix Screen Share Audio Not Working

This tutorial will show you how to stream with sound on Discord. If your screen share audio is not working then there are a few possible solutions. In order to stream with sound you will need to share an application not a screen. Sharing an application will ensure that the sound is also being streamed to your viewers.

If you are still unable to stream audio on Discord then you can try enabling experimental audio features. If there is an issue with screen share audio not working than this will usually solve the issue. Having the experimental features enabled can also solve other audio issues in Discord.

Another solution to fix screen share audio not working on Discord is to add the application you're trying to stream as a game. You can do this via the activity status settings in Discord. Once an application has been added it can allow sound to be streamed on Discord.

For everyone who isnt seeing the "Activity Status" setting look under where it should have been and you will see "Registered Games" thats where you find the Add game screen.

If this doesnt work try running discord as an administrator, that worked for me.

Didn't help. The experimental audio option is turned on for me by default and Nox is already detected by Discord but there is still no audio when I try to stream.

I don't have either options on my laptop. Nothing in voice and video and theres no activity option

Many thanks. I had the problem for a year and thanks to you I found the settings where you can change it. But I had to set it to experimental. because I used the elgato wave 3, which only makes the sound in the program and I had problems with discord because of it
